I own a shop and we install alot of alarms.

Customers love Starter Kill but every so often customer will call because the starter kill has acted up and wont allow the car to start. Be it dead relay or dead brain.

what do you guys say to customers? Do you warn them or make them sign a waiver?

Install at own risk?

Let me know ok

I never had that problem, but i would just tell them fuse to the alarm or something to turn off the starterkill.

I do not do a starter kill or interupt circuit unless the customer wants it. I explain to them this issue (as it has happened to me before) If they still want it I make a note on the reciept that I am not responsible for any charges related to this and that there is an extra fee to disable it down the road. 99% of my customers are happy without it. Also almost all new vehicles have a factory interupt so really no reason to have one with an alarm.

thats what I thought . So you would charge to remove it if the customer wanted it and you explained to downfalls to a starter kill

thanks
