need to know where to tap in to so my radio stays on after i key off till the door is open, its a 2005 silverado, let me know

That should already happen... you shouldn' need to  change anything, unless it's something you can program?  Is this an entry leval truck...no power options?

Retained accesory power has been a standard on these trucks for years.

no its a z71 truck ext. cab, power windows / locks, radio install kit said i had to run my own accessory power, but cant find a spot to tap in to the RAP system

Do you have a sunroof? if not, the power windows control relay will be the only place. They make interface modules for this that will just plug in and make your life a lot easier. Just a suggestion.
