04 kia optima, trunk release

hi im trying to hook up a trunk pop with my viper 2 way lcd system and im having trouble hooking up the relay and not sure i have 86 and 87 to 12v+ and 30 to trunk wire and 85 to alarm, my question is why is it not working?? i can pop the trink with the door turnk pop but not the remote. and im using the release wire from the drivers door btw. any help would be great thanks. Some things to check, you are connected to the blue wire in the drivers kickpanel? Try tapping 85 to ground for a second, does it pop the trunk? If so, you either have the wrong wire on the alarm or you are pressing the wrong button. If it doesn't pop the trunk when you tap 85 to ground, are you sure you have the correct blue wire? does it show 12volts when you use the cars release button? What model alarm and what wire are you using?

does the car have factory keyless? If so you can also find a green NEG(-) at the ETACS module (part of the fuse box)

dont go to the door go to the kick blue they way u have the relay is correct. meter the wire when the button is pressed. also check ur alarm to make sure it's making a ground. that car is pure cake to do a install on...
