name tags to cd to appear on screen

In order to name tag the tracks you would have to use a ripper to a file format first then rename the folders and files. Then using a burning program to burn those files as song on cd. Some programs will allow to rename without rip, but not cd to cd backup.

I use Easy CD-DA Extractor. ($30.00 for a license, and that includes lifetime updates.) When you insert a CD, it queries internet databases, and fills in all the label information automatically. The tags are this information, and when you rip with this software, that tag info becomes part of the track/file. You can also use it to burn your audio CDs, but Nero will also include this tag information, if you check the box for it to do so. Simply renaming the tracks does not always include or update the tag information. The information as to be there in the tag in order for the burning software to be able to include it. If you have a MESS of files already, and none of them (or very few of them) have tags, you can use TagScanner (this one's a freebie, and a good one, too.) to rename and tag all of your files. It also makes cataloging (sp?) and filing MUCH easier. This software is cool, because it can also be used to even rename all of the files (using the tag information) that iTunes rips and cryptically names for you... Nice.
