520T Battery Backup

Hi,

Before I buy the 520t i want to know:

1) If this thing will drain my car battery since it's only connected to a 12v constant, even if it trickle charges I wouldnt feel comfortable with something constantly draining my battery.

2) Does the 520t supply the alarm brain with current from the car battery or from the 520t battery on the normal basis because if it draws power from the 520t it's a possibility that the battery will wear out and not hold a charge leaving you unable to disarm/unlock the car.

im not 100 percent sure, but I think the car's power passes through the backup battery on a regular basis, but once the cars battery is disconnected, the backup battery is triggered..  I may be wrong though

tbone587 is correct.
Alot of people i know have the 520T and never had a problem with it draining the battery.
Note: You Always Dont Get What You Pay For.
