I remember a while back a user by the name of bobdit or something like that. He had started a thread about a 6.5" sub that could hit like 130-something at the dash. I remember everyone telling him it couldnt be done. anywho... I found this video that might have helped him way back when.

I use a pair of the Tang Band 6.5" subs in my rear doors and like them a lot (of course I am not a bass-head like some of you.)  A very good 6.5" sub is THIS offering from Mpyre.

BTW, whoever made a blanket statement like a 6.5" speaker "can't hit 130db" does not know what they are talking about.

Anyone have any experience with the 4" (yes, 4") subwoofer by tang band from parts express? I know it probably can't do much, but I'm just curious.

The Fs is 55Hz, but you could probably put in in a ported enclosure tuned to about 50Hz and hit around 100db or so with 40 watts.  It's be great for a mini subwoofer for somewthing like a computer sound system.  Plus it's got good response out to almost 3KHz so it could also serve as a woofer in a mini 2-way system with a decent tweeter.  TB makes really interesting products.
