Set screw terminals with 0/1 gauge wire

Hey guys, I've been doing alot of wiring in my truck recently and i seem to have problems when it comes to using the allen style set screw terminals with 1/0 gauge wire. I cant seem to get the wire in cleanly and not worry about excess strands pulling out or being exposed. Ive started taping/heat shrinking all the joints but feel there is something i'm doing wrong when putting on the terminals... are there any tips for this? -MikeDriving a Bagged, Caddied 02 s10

if the wire won't fit than cut some strands off

get sum 0/1 guage connectots like u shaped or circle these always come in handy, u can pick these up at your local radio shopIf I'm to loud, then you're too old!!!

You can always get wire reducers or step downs.....that will take 1/0 in and have a solid aluminum or copper 4 guage plug. They work very very well, I use quite a few on them in my setup2009 0-1000 Trunk WR 154.0DB 2009 1001+ Trunk WR
