Hi all,
I have a 1989 jeep cherokee that i recently put a 2 way remote start/alarm into.... everything was fine until it got really cold.. ( -35C ish ) now sometimes the starter sets off the alarm and tells me that it is the hood pin ( i have no hood pin hooked up, that wire is just grounded ) this only seems to happen when it is really cold and the truck had been sitting for a few hours, once it has been started and not left for more than a few hours it is fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated .... thanks in advance

the starter is a Radiostar Generation? ( it appears to be a knock off of an arctic start) i have been unable to find a website or any other info on the web about it

This is a major safety feature...I would suggest using it, it's a simple way to keep the engine from starting with the hood open and your hands on something that might remove your fingers. Not to mention the poor sap that does your oil changes, or you favorite mechanic.
