i installed an alarm remote start combo in a 2002 monte carlo and the it wont stop false triggering on the doors. the domelight does not come on but there is just enough ground on the wire to trigger after about ten minutes or so. i wired directly to the domelight below the driver side dash that lights the floor area. is there a better place to tap the signal? why wont this work?

Notes:

NOTE: This vehicle has the passlock II immobilizer system that, when adding a remote start, must be interfaced with. Use DEI part 555t or 555L.  *1 The ignition harness is located far right of the steering column, behind the ignition switch.  *2 Lock and unlock use the same wire. Lock requires a negative trigger with a 470 ohm resistor in-line. Unlock is negative trigger. Must use relays.    *3 The BCM is located above the brake pedal. It is a plastic box with three plugs that face the firewall.  *4 Installation of factory keyless upgrade alarm is not recommended on this vehicle because the door lock motor wires rest at approximately 7 volts.  *5 The drivers door trigger wire is blue. Blue/white will catch the passenger door. Use both wires and diode isolate each.  *6 Horn can also be found at the black plug with a blue insert above the gas pedal.  *7 This wire must be powered as an accessory wire. If powered as an 2nd ignition the car will not crank.  *8 Must isolate this wire from the BCM when doing remote start to avoid 'service engine soon' light. See directfax document #1600 for wiring information.

You need to relay or diode isolate the door triggers from each other. Use the wires listed above for reference.

When the BCM goes to sleep after 20 minutes, it takes away the 12-volt side of the domelight wire, and it turns to a ground, making a false alarm. You can use the domelight wiring for a door trigger.
The blue and blue/white wires listed in techsoft are the correct ones to use. They're available in a harness coming out of the driver's side fusebox; this is easier than bending and stooping to get to the BCM.
