I put one in today for a customer that purched his product "on line" This was the first thing that bothered me.

Long story short....lock, unlock, arm, disarm, start, stop.....hood pin brake switch. All the install was perfect and work fine. Then I decide to check the door pins...OH, BY THE WAY...99 civic auto trans. EASY car. the door trigger, triggers the alarm as it should. Try to disarm and shut the alarm off.......push that darn unlock/disarm button 6, 7, 10 times....then it shuts off? Re-arm, locks perfect. Disarm, and unlock...perfect.................... trigger the alarm.....your in for a wait attempting to shut er down. Just looking for a clue as to what to tell (help) my customer. Remember, it's NOT my product, and eveything else work great.

I'll wait to hear your idea's

Try holding down either the lock or unlock button constantly for a few seconds

If it's not custom, then it's not you.

Did that as well.....I even got it to shut down a couple times with the LOCK button, of all things!

sounds like a bad brain,I had one do the exact same thing,swapped out the brain and everything is fine.

Ok sorry i miss understood your question. This is normal, you can't shut off the alarm once triggered until the second or third siren tone or a few seconds. Some scyteks have 2 way pagers so you can not disarm until the pager gets a signal from the brain. Lock the car, wait 30 seconds activate the alarm by shock or opening a door, when the siren hits the second programmed tone, you can then shut off the alarm.

If it's not custom, then it's not you.
