For my 2002 intrepid, I’m thinking of getting a set of 13w6v2s or a single 12w7 and running it on a JL 1000/1. Yes, I know that JL is more expensive for what you’re getting, but I’m able to get a good deal on this stuff. I’ve looked at the Tantrum 1200.1 and PG xenon 1200.1 as alternatives as well as a tantrum 600.4 and the like to run the 3 way front. I’ve heard great things about class T amps, but the important thing is that I want my amps to match and it’s hard to get a hold of the great old school amps that match on Ebay. I’m wondering if a set of QSC216 in the doors with and RCE269 in the deck are enough to provide me with the proper tweeter, mid range, and mid bass that I need to compliment the amount of bass that is going to be put out by the sub or subs. The QSC216 are going to be in the doors with the tweeters in the corner sails. The RCE269s going in the rear deck. I listen to all kinds of music, but I’ve heard that people either put in 6.5’s in the deck or nothing at all rather than 6x9’s. Can someone recommend something to put in the rear deck that will provide good mid bass both when the subs are on and off? I would think that running the QSC216 with channels 1 and 2 of the 450/4 with the gains turned down and channels 3 and 4 to the RCE269s (all at 4ohms) would provide enough power. Also is it necessary that I do the big 3 mod, or is 1450 total watts not enough power to warrant the need for it. What electrical system mods do you recommend for this setup? Can I run 4 awg back and split it into two 8 awg, or should I go 2 awg and split to 4 awg at each amp? Specs for everything are listed as follows:

Why would the sub be turned on and off?

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
