hi, i have put a code ca630 alarm with remote start on a customers 06 truck. i used all the wires which i got of this site to hook everything up. i used a GMDL-BP bypass piece which works the passlock 2 and 3 systems. for some reason, when i insert the key into the ignition and remove it the factorey alarm after about 8-15 seconds passive arms itself. i put a relay on the brown wire on the bypass piece which is the ground while running wire. that did not work. after this and trying to program the code several times it locked up and will not let me back in to program mode. after that it then lost the program to the remotes. i then installed another alarm since that was the last code i had. this alarm worked everything or so i thought. if i remote start the vehicle and then insert the key, turn the vehicle on, then press the brake to disengage the remote start unit, then turn the vehicle off and pull the key out it does the same thing as the code and passive arms itself. i have worked on this truck for two days and am ready to see it leave. any help would be greatly appreciated at this point. also if any one knows how to get the code alarm back working without sending it off that would deffinately be appreciated.

Thanks Luke

you got several issues. you got a factory system in there that can be locking and unlocking the doors depending upon owner programming.

Next you got a system that probably has ignition locks enabled. Disable it.

The interface is designed to paulse the factory alarm to shut it off and when you hit the brake it relocks the door cause it sees the remote start just shut off.

You have to remember you got a computer controlling the door locks and an interface communicating by a data wire. Go through and shut off ignition locks and go through the factory alarm programming and see what it was set for and if you must, change it.  The trucks can be programmed to do alot of things. I got an 03 Suburban which has same features.
