Ok the installation of the starter is almost complete.

Couple questions before I finish up

Main power harness on alarm has 2 red 12v wires and say to hook up to 12v from ignition. Do I put these wires together on the one ignition constant?

Tach wire is to goto negative side of ignition coil. Does it have to go out to the coil, (location?) or can it be hooked up inside the cabin to the tach wire?

Out of the 20 pin harness, there is a yellow and a red wire. The red is said to pick up a 12v constant and the yellow is to go to the ign.acc wire. Can I put the red to the ign. const. and the yellow to the ign. acc.?

I don't know if Multi-tapping these wires is correct. (though thats what I make of the "destructions")

This starter has internal relays and does not mention the use of external relays other than for doorlocks etc.

yes, they are both supposed to be attached to a 12 volt constant at the ignition harness.

you can get the tach from the coil, an individual cylinder, a test plug, or inside the vehicle. it all depends on whats most accessible to you and what has a stronger signal.

Can I put the red to the ign. const. and the yellow to the ign. acc.?

yes.

All information that I can gather says the tach wire is white that I am looking for. At the ignition coil there is a blue wire and a BLACK/ white wire. How do I determine which is the negative?

Well the remote start is in, and everything functions!!...Exceeeept...lol..The hood pin..dumb..The RS model is a Commmand Start CS350i, it has a negative input hood pin. Problem is when the hood is open it functions A-1, when the hood is closed it won't start and the diagnostics (park light flash) tell me the hood is open! Any suggestions on a fix or what the problem may be?

Thank you

Did you use a hood pin wire or use a OEM hood pin wire ? Test the hood pin wire from the CPU to make sure that it is infact receiving a (-) signal when hood pin is up.

I used the supplied wire from the RS. Im just wondeing, I connected everything and did all the programming to see if everything was correct. (ie accepted tach wire etc.) when I put the hood pin in I did not ground to bare metal so I wonder if that may be the culprit?

Update: The culprit was the mating surface, I figured as much...just to tired last night to go on! lol. I ground the paint down to metal and then reinstalled the hood pin everything works! Though I can't say I like the hood pin on the command start, it is slender and maybe a little more visual appealing. But It seems to be super delicate and finnicky.
