I have a 2000 Ford Escort ZX2. Supposedly Metra made a Turbokit Auto Stereo Installation System for my vehicle. This item # would be 99-5720. It states on the package it is made for my vehicle. It comes with wiring harnesses for the speakers and then for everything needed to run the radio excluding the speakers. Went to install this into my car, but the plugs don't fit into anything. Why is this? What is going on? Am I missing something? I follow the instructions for both my radio and for the installation kit. It still doesn't work. Tell me why and what I can do to fix this so my radio works.

My factory radio number is F8CF-18C858-FE   BTAK 66 DTX. IT came with the stock 6 Disc CD Changer too. On the back of the factory radio is a flat plug area and a little alomst square plug area. I believe the flat one goes to the speakers and the other was the power, ground, antenna, and whatever else go with it.
