What do you use for relay voltage and current ratings for high amp and low amp applications?

I was thinking on going to the salvage yard and strip a few vehicles of their relays as the 12V 30A ones at Radio Shack are $6 each.

I do the same. I've found that late model camaro's and firebirds have a relay bank on the drivers side under the hood. My last trip to the junk yard netted me 10 relays for $10.00.

www.partsexpress.com has true, 5-pin Bosch relays for $2 each and Bosch-type relays for only $1. They also have a nice variety of relay plugs for cheap.

I get mine from Pars Express also. Just ordered 10 of the 89 cent relays to see how they hold up. The Bosh relays run $1.89 if you buy at least 10. Cant beat the price! Brian
