I am looking to put together a system for my 01 Passport. A little background, i worked as an installer for 15 years and then the company i worked for went out of business. I have been out of the business for a little over a year and i have sold all of my equipment. I had a jl 500/1 and 300/4 on a 10w7 in my last car. I was trying to get a good system that would sound good. I am looking at the  prs-4100f  and  prs-d1100m from pioneer. Has anyone had any experience with these amps. I am probably going to run either 1 12" or 2 10" pioneer woofers.

The last model year of PRS amplifiers were absolutely great. I would recommend the new models for sure. Good choice.

well long story short. i loved the 10w7 but now i am just wanting a good sound w/o the large cost. I also have a few friends that work for pioneer and can get the best deal on those products. Where i worked before we carried pioneer and i had a lot of luck w/ their subs in vented enclosures and never had one fail. Also i hate to say it but i am getting older and the 150db just dont matter anymore.  i was just getting some advice on the ice amps since i have never dealt with them

don't know about the amps, but  i have always liked pioneer speakers- great sound (not spl-just good sound) for the money; and if properly installed and used, they last forever.  my old subs (6+yrs-premiers)  are still thumpin in my little sisters car today
