I did a few searchs on this vehicle and no one had the exact problem.

I did an autostart with this vehicle and when you remote start the vehicle the security light and the "wrench" light comes on in the dash, they stay on while you drive the vehicle.

When you start the vehicle with the key, those 2 lights do not come on.

The autostart and bypass kit works perfectly.

Any ideas what it could be?

I hooked up the accessory 1 wire, ignition wire, 12 volts wire. I did not hook up a starter wire.

PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with PASSLOCK 2 passive anti-theft. Many modules are available to bypass this security for remote start. If one is not available to you, use the security diagram for bypass instructions. IMPORTANT: If check engine light comes on during remote start, connect keysense wire.

Yes, definitely needs keysense.
If your product only has one ground-when-running output, be sure to split it with two diodes, then connect one diode to keysense, and the other to your bypass module.
If you omit the diodes, the bypass will be activated even when the car is started with the key, and the bypass module will never get a chance to "re-learn" as time goes by. It'll work OK for a good while, but the car will come back later.

I find that odd as well...maybe you could call Astro tech support and let them know what you found...(if the solutuon works) They would be happy to get the free info.

depending what bypass you used, I ran into an issue with the bypasskits that you have to program the bypass with the doors all closed, so leave the driver door open, but latch the door latch closed. then program bypass and this will  take care of the security light.
