Hi, just finished installing alarm using Hornet 564T. I think I connected everything but when I tried remote start using the remote, the dash lights up and then turns off.  It wouldn't even engage the starter, nor crank it. The dash light just go on for  2 seconds and then shut off. Repeats 2 more time then stop everything. Can someone give me some idea what's wrong? I've checked all the wiring but everything seem okay.

check all wiring with a DMM and esp check hood pin, and brake wire and ignition wires.

I didn't install a hood pin. I assume it will not work when ground is present, so I didn't connect anything.

Make absolutely sure you have the purple wire on the out side of the starter wire connection. If you have the green and purple wires backwards the starter will not engage.

Starter will not start, as well as the dash light goes on and goes off after 2 seconds. purple and green wire is wired correctly. Do you think I have a defective unit? I hear the relay clicks, as well as the lock/ unlock working, shock sensor alarm working. Only thing is the remote start not working. I'm clueless at this point.

I've read on another post that I need to disable to the keysense wire using ground when remote start to disable the factory alarm for remote start. Can this be the case ? Thanks.

The rules specifically state make/model/year of vehicle should be posted in all questions. If you post the make and model of the vehicle, it would help us assist you in determining the requirements for that vehicle.
Did you verify that you are getting +12V on the purple when the starter should be engaging?
