i just purchased power door locks and a shaved door handle kit (7 channel) for my '66 ford galaxie.
it is not a keyless entry or alarm unit, it just has 7 channels, so there is no parking light flash output
i want the headlights and taillights to flash as well as the horn to honk when i lock and unlock the car.
how would i wire this up?
thank you
matt

How do the power door locks interface with the remote entry kit? 5 wire reverse? or do they need to see a pulse from the controle unit? My guess is reverse polarty actuators. Find the diagram on gere to get your locks interfaced with the 7 channel entry unit, then use the same lock pulse and unlock pulse to drive a relay[s]for the parking lites and horn chirp...

it attatches via a 1 wire lead to one of the connectors on the brain for the shaved handle kit

Ok, so figure out what the signal is off the 1 wire from the brain is, +12v) or(-) and then just wire up a couple of relays.. if (-)
85 to (-) trigger from brain
86 to fused +12v
30 to fused +12v
87 to (+) parking lite wire
If its a (+) output from the brain just connect the output to 85 and ground pin 86...
Do the same for the horn, if you have a (-) horn then ground pin 30 If you have a +12v triggered horn then fused +12v to pin 30 The rest of the relay will be thesame configuration as above...
