I have a viper 5900 installed in a 2000 s10. When i went to disarm it this afternoon, i heard 4 chirps meaning the alarm had been triggered. When i did the led zone check, it reported that zone 2 (led blinked twice) was triggered and also zone 6 (led blinked 6 times). The 2 blinks i understand because i had set off the shock sensor.   But the 6 blinks i don't.  There is no zone 6 to the best of my knowledge.

Here are my zones

Zone 1- hood pinswitch

zone 2- shock sensor

zone 3-Door trigger

zone 4- optional sensors

zone 5- ignition trigger

Any help would be appriciated. The only thing that i have changed in the past day is the parking lights from flashing to constant. I don't think that this would change anything else though....

Here is the answer+

Zone 6 is the gray wire in the 6 pin harness that connected  to the hoop pin swirch

Zone 1 is the blue wire in the main harness that is connected to the trunk input trigger.

If u have the installation manual it will show it in page53 or click the link to download install manual

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.
