I have a '91 ford exploder I mean Explorer and am in the middle of a wiring night mare. but that is a whole other issue. my question is......... what is the difference between installing a 12v+ and a 12v- can either of these go into my truck? the truck has a factory premium system w/ built in powered amp

There is no suce thing is a 12volts negavitave stereo.

There is a 12 volt positive, 12 volt sitched and a ground

You need to list what you are trying to do before we help you. your not making any sense

I have a stock Nissan deck that I would like to put in my ford truck. the aftermarket stereo I took out of it says on the sticker on top of the stereo "12 v (+) ground..... the nissan stereo i want to install says "12v (-) ground.... what is the difference?

just in case it makes a difference, the factory color code for my truck says it is 12v(+) constant and 12v(+) switched

Could it be refering to the negative power ant coming from the radio?
