1. What kind of starter is it?
2. Are you absolutely sure that the bypass module programmed correctly, the starter will not engage unless the vehicle sees the correct information.
3. Make sure that the accessories drop out at the same time, if there is a delay the car will not engage the starter. I tried installing an off brand starter in an Equinox a while back and the accessory wires would drop out one at a time, causing a no start condition.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

taken from a knowledge base:
First, chassis ground the BROWN wire, the vehicle’s IGNITION & ACCESSORY will power-up and the vehicle will start, the PKG7 is working. Now, connect the BROWN input wire to the output of the remote starter, if the vehicle does not start by remote, but the ignition & accessory power, there is a timing issue with the remote start accessory output. These vehicle do not have a STARTER wire, so the vehicle will start with the drop of accessory when the key is turned to the start position. Disconnect the accessory output from the remote start and try again, if there is still no start, disconnect the ignition output. With having both of these wires disconnected corrects the problem, great, but make sure neither of these wires is needed for programming or the remote starter to function properly.

I have also had the same problem with the PKG7. First I T-Taped onto the wires from the key switch. Then I soldered them. Then we installed the relay as listed in the updated version of the instructions. We use Ultra Start remote starts and are using 1270's. When the car comes in it flashes 7 times. This indicates that the unit has lost tach signal or a start attempt has occurred without the engine turning over. The 1270 is tachless learning though tach is hooked up. Unplug the PKG7 and reset and it works fine for a couple days. At first I thought it was me but 3 Malibu's and G6 later I'm sure there is an issue. If no one has any good ideas I'm going back to a key in the box and PLXJ.
