Finished my PR subwoofer today... the one that's gonna be the multimedia system from hell... Remember that one? Now I need a really good car amp to drive it in the office! It'll run on the car amp from about 50Hz and down, with Radio Shack Linaeum two-ways running on an old 220 wpc AudioMetric amp from DAK... Remember DAK anyone? I do... I Love PR Systems -- posted image. Actively crossed over with a KLW XA-25 crossover at 18dB... I think it'll do pretty well!
Aura 10, with a 15 inch PR (tuned to 5.2Hz) from Adire, 2.2 cu.ft., Fs is 23Hz! I expect my f3 to be somewhere around 18Hz or so. I was running about 40 watts to it in my livingroom, and crap in the cabinets in the kitchen was rattling. WOOHOO! And of course, in famous "Dave Fashion", only one picture of the construction... So I'll post that eventually, with a completed picture as well!
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
