The next time I plug it in, I'll take some screenshots and try to get those posted up. Otherwise, TrueRTA is just that, an RTA. Much like an AudioControl RTA, it does nothing by itself, except SHOW you where your system needs help, with either a parametric EQ or a graphic EQ, or possibly even simply adjusting the gains on a single amplifier.
Do you HAVE TrueRTA? I have it on my laptop, and it is a very fine software. If you DON'T have it, I highly recommend it. Level 4 would be MOST helpful, and for the money, well worth it.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Ummm... yeah, you have to have the mic and pre-amp... That's what it's for. TrueRTA is not an EQ or a signal diagnostic tool, it is an environment measurement tool. You have to get the signal from the outside world (the cabin of your car) into it, and you have to do that with a microphone. And a high quality microphone will need a good pre-amp... Sorry to break that to you, but you'll need that.
If you have a laptop, with a mic input, then you might be able to find a decnt dynamic mic, but it'll NEVER do high level measurements. Dynamic mics are for up to (maybe) 100dB. You'll need a good electret mic for high level stuff, like 110dB or better.
