Keyless on 92 Explorer w/ factory keyless

Ok i have a 92 ford explored and i have located the pink / YELLOW and pink/green wires. This vehicle has factory keyless entry with some primitive starter kill. I bought a ProStart 2300. Now i have a few questions.

#1: How do i properly wire up the keyless with the prostart?

#2: Will the way i wired it work with the factory starter kill? (unlock = disable and factory domelight supervision | Lock) If not can it be wired that way?

#3: Why are the keyless entry wires so heavy gauged?

1. direct connection from the alarm, no relays.

2. techsoft specifies a disarm wire, so i would assume it arms with Lock. and the disarm wire would be the one for (atleast) the factory IGN kill. Dome supervision should be able to be done with the prostart alarm. The disarm wire is Dark GREEN/ Purple (-) at the alarm module or in the drivers kick panel. Alarm module located in left rear quarter panel next/near keyless module.

3. If they are heavy guage, then it's not equiped with factory keyless or you have the wrong wires. Although you could be completely right, it could be a fluke, i've seen some heavy guage wires on factory keyless models before.

ok so how do i wire door locks?

they rest at 0v and when you push the switch they go to 12v, both wires do this...that is all i have tested.

1. My notes tell me that the keyles entry models are (-) trigger door lock system. What you describe is a (+) type trigger system ? If this is what you tested on the wire, then you what you have to do is wire up the lock/unlock wire to a relay bank that will reverse the polarity of the (-) trigger of the Prostart. If the Prostart has alternatinf polarity door locks already, then no relays are required.

2. If you just piggyback the system & the starter kill is triggered by the locking system, then you will retain this feature. If the OEM remote FOB has another wire that trigger's the starter kill, then you will loose this feature, but the Prostart has a starter disable feature that you can install with it's system.

3. Ford uses a heavier gauge wire for the keyless system for some reason. If you tested the wires correctly then use them.
