NO, NO it has to pulse the door trigger after remote Start  shuts off, look at the install manual, some times it is called a Factory rearm wire. I don't deal with this type of systems so I have no acces to an install manual.

Or better yet turn you headlight switch from Auto to off 2003 maxima, ultrastart 1270tl - Page 2 -- posted image.

OK I found the manual it shows a Yellow wire in the 14 pin harness

YELLOW 0.75 second pulse output when button is

pressed and after remote start shutdown.

Used for factory alarm re-arm.

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

the 1270tl has 2 negative trigger status outputs, 1 off of the 3 pin harness on the side WHITE/ purple and the other is orange off of the main harness. no need to diode isolate.

Ok .. so I can use the rearm NEG(-) pulse from the ultrastart 14-pin wire harness to trigger the light green wire (PIN 1 at the SECU) -- that should work.

YES, The output should be strong enough, But if not then you will need a relay. Good luck

a 1270TL that I installed in a 2003 Nissan Maxima SE has a defective trunk release trigger.  When testing the trunk release wire (which should put out a 250mA negative pulse) .. the wire rests at 0.021vdc and then goes UP to 0.034vdc.  It obviously should go to ground to trigger the trunk release mechanism.

Clearly, I could get a new 1270TL module -- is there a device, however, that I could purchase -- like a switch/relay combo or something that would allow me to press the doorlock button twice or three times within a certain time frame to trigger the trunk?

Thanks

sadly, no ... one of the biggest downfalls of the Ultrastart lineup .. not much ability for add-ons.

or is there a device that'll see that increase in volts in the trunk release wire (albeit a tiny increase) as a trigger to pop the trunk?
