Here are some new pics of a FJ that my Teem and I just completed For Infineon Raceway using “the trick of the year” thinned down body filler to get a perfect paint ready surface. Use this trick (look for the thread “trick of the year”) on every project you want to paint and forget pin holes and multiple layers of body filler. Codey made The sub box and the speaker pods. My boss Rich of "Enriched" made the TV mount and trim, and I made the PS3 mount. Also when you make your next visit to the auto paint store, ask for high build primer that uses acetone or lacquer thinner for reducer. Buy a cheep $13 paint gun and save even more time! This stuff dries fast! And builds high. Also if you send your stuff out for paint, this primer will not lift.

Nice work Dude. In regards to your " trick of the year " with thinned body filler, I think your a bit behind on this " trick" seeing that it's been used for the past 5 years or longer in our neck of the woods. Regardless, nice design on the FJ Cruiser and good use of the neon lights as grills.Jeff

My postings are not a competitive event. There is a lot more to the “trick of the year” than thinning down the body filler. The finer details of this process is what lets me work circles around a lot of guys that are attempting to do the same thing. I am not the inventor of this process and neither is any one ells posting here. Body shops have been doing this for a long time now. My point is that people need to know more about this and more people need to be doing it better. I am here to share. You can never know to much! That’s why I love this stuff. Velocity motors, loved your thread, and loved the magazine article. Also in my first posting I forgot to mention that Scott, my head wiring guy put a lot of effort and quality work into the FJ as well. Gota give credit where its due!

We heated and bent the plexi rod our selves. Then end lit them with LEDs.

Are those PVC elbows on the end of the Plexi Rods on the grill? How was that accomplished? Quick description would be appreciated. I think it is a great job and clean install. And old tricks like the bondo resin mix is never out of style to mention. Keep up the good work fellas.
