00 dodge ram keyless entry

i have a 2000 dodge ram truck that i am trying to hook up keyless entry on i have a control box that goes with my bed cover that gives me a negative trigger wire for lock and one for unlock i'm very new when it comes to this stuff but from what i've read the orangew/purple and the pinkw/purple are the door lock and unlock in the truck but i'm not understanding how exactly to hook this up cause i also find where it said i needed a resistor so how would i go about installing this thanks a ton for any help

ok as i've done more research my question now is can i make my connections in the kick panel or do i need to go into the door it looks as if i have a five wire system

In the driver's kick panel you will need to remove a plastic bag filled with foam/insulation and this will allow you to get at the door lock wire plug. You don't have a ton or slack on the wires so you will need to work in a confined space. After you find them you have to 5 wire the wires with 2 relays. Use this diagram for the relays
Can also find wires at the central timer module to the right side of the steering column, lock is ORANGE / green, unlock is pink/green.

ok not trying to be difficult just want to get this right but according to that diagram wouldn't i have to make the cut inside the door or will it be fine in the kick panel thanks a ton that is a much more understandable drawing

These wires aren't five wire though are they. Are they not POS(+) pulse?
