Non-keyless versions are 5 wire located in the driver door harness. Keyless versions are negative trigger located in a gray molex plug to the right side of the steering column. Did this truck have factory keyless entry or not ? If it didn't then the wires had to be 5 wired in order to isolate the (+) trigger from the switch so it doesn't burn out the switch.

As Velocity said above, if if didn't have keyless, it would have been installed as a five wire, which means there would of been relays added. Find these relays make sure all of the connections are good and not corroded. Also check the door lock motor wires where they were cut and make sure the connection is good. If you have a couple of relays, just replace em all together...and that will eliminate them as a possibility of the prob. You will have to trace wires to find em....some installers put them in kick panel, others put them under the dash. I've this same problem on the Fords, and generally it's just bad door lock motors, but who knows.

I did this exact truck yesterday WITHOUT keyless, its 5wire in the passegner kick panel, the driver kickpanel wouldnt work for some reason, but in the pass panel it works just fine,

Actually a fairly common problem with the older Ford trucks.  See attached for example discussion:
