Installing RS on 02 and 03 saturns.Using the astrostart system.So far they or us can't get around the security system. Can hook up door locks but can't disable and enable alarm with RS fob. Net result is you still unlock doors with RS fob but if alarm was armed with OEM fob alarm will still activate. I can program the pcm and disable alarm altogeather but most customers want to be able to be able to set alarm. Any help will be great. System installed is the 1104. Astrostart used to say keep Oem fob in car and solder on printed circuit board to relays.ow they don't recommend doing this,I never had any sucess with this method any way.

all my notes say that if you bypass passlock it turns off factory security.

Try this:

The factory alarm is programmable for Active, Passive (5 minute delay), or Disabled. Turn ignition on, press PANIC button 8 to 10 times in 5 seconds. Within 3 seconds press UNLOCK button for Disabled, LOCK button for Active, or LOCK button twice for Passive.

More help needed please. I guess I need to be more clear. I would like to be able to arm and disarm factory alarm with RS fob. I can currently lock and unlock with RS fob but can't arm or disarm so if customer uses OEM fob to set alarm if they use RS fob to unlock doors alarm goes off. Is the customers only recoarse to use 2 seperate fobs for both RS and one for arm/disarm? Jeff unsure what the passive 5 min delay will do to resolve this.If you know a way I'm all ears. Astroflex has in the past said it can't be done on the Saturns and they didn't have a modual to interface with the Saturn alarm systems it recieves an RF signal.Still wondering

why not put in an alarm /start combo unit.???
