Yea. Don't forget that ALL JL repairs are *FLAT RATES*. I've had a few JL amps repaired by a local shop and one of the guys that (used to? I haven't been here in awhile..) lurks around here is a JL dealer and he confirmed this for me.

Some dealers ( cartoys) will try telling you that you have to leave a deposit or some such nonsense to try talking you into buying new gear. The idiot at car toys compared my 13w6 to a 'broken vcr' and I should just buy a new one.. then told me he needed $250 just to send it off, $100 for frieght and shipping, and another $250 deposit to cover any labor and parts.

Of course he had a new one he could sell me on commission right then.

I'm not a sucker! Not to worry. I'm 33 and been in the game since I cleaned up a shop just for the priv. to hang around at 13. Hired at 16 by the same shop. I have a UPS shipping station at my house! Don't know car-toys; but they won't get me!
