i had a kenwood kfc-xw1202dvc, but ended up smoking it.  obviously i need something that can handle a little more, but i would like to stay with kenwood, and stick under the $200 area.  but, somewhat flexable on brand.  any good suggestions?  i've just been getting so stinkin confused with dvc's, running in parallel, series, dropping ohm load, ect.  the mono amp has a right and left channel. (go figure for a mono??)  so, i'm just not sure what's the best selection for sub, and wiring.  thanks for the help!!!

left and right on mono amp?-  the +'s are both connected, and the -'s are both connected together inside the amp.  they do this to make it easier for you to wire two subs to the amp.  If you have a digital multi meter, you can test continuity through (left and right) positive and negative terminals, respectively.

as for a sub, i would run a 4-ohm dvc sub (if you are only running one), and wire it in parallel to the amp, giving the amp a 2-ohm load.  as for a brand of sub, i dunno- haven't really been too impressed with anything recently, except the high end stuff.
