Need some help please.

My remote start cranks and turns over. It sounds fine. Then...it will crank one more time.....and the enigine will continue to run but it will sound like crap. I really would appreciate some help or advice on this.  I have the tach hooked up properly (even tried it on a fuel injector wire, didnt work) and i have relearned the tach several times.

Please Help.

Do you have the pin switch to TACH ? If you do, then go back to the place you bought it from and get the CPU replaced. The Compustar units have a lifetime warranty as long as you had it installed and purchased at a Compustar dealer.

It sounds fine when it initially cranks and starts then it will crank again and i will kinda hear a rattling noise and its a noise like the enigine is running real rough.

Unfortunalty Velocity, I bought it on ebay and put it in myself. It does have the tach switch.

Would it help if i tried to learn the tach with the engine warm or cold? Should i turn on all my accesories? (air, radio, etc..)

If you went to the injector make sure you pluged the injector all the way in.
Does it start up rough with the key? if your tach was bad you would grind the starter. so if it runs your tach is fine.

I never unplugged the injector. Just spliced into the wire. '

It doenst start rough with the key. It initailly remote starts up fine. After about 5 sec of running it will attempt to crank just ONE more time then it will run and not continue to crank but it will sound really bad.

Is it blinking the lights 1 time when you depress the tach button for tach learn?  Just to confirm you have the brain switched to tach adn not alternator sensing?

Try this switch it to alternator sensing and hook it up to the stator wire off the alterantor. For somereason it is not sensing theat it is running I believe this is why it trying to start after its running. If this doesn't work I would try to get a new brain.
