Hey everyone, i've had my Pioneer 7800 (non premier) installed for coming up on one year, well recently i opted to remove my subwoofer and strictly use my front doors from my amps (Kicker KX200.2) I had the left front speaker plugged into one KX200 and the right front plugged into the other KX200. from each amp, one set of RCA's went to the FRONT preout, the other to the REAR preout. now all of a sudden im getting a ton of alternator noise/engine noise/noise in general. i get it with the car in Run but off, the car in ACC and the car running.
I can not figure out why this would happen all of a sudden, my front doors are X-over's built by me @ 4ohm so there isnt too low of an ohm load, the subwoofer output from the HU also has the Noise coming through it.
this just happened all of a sudden, any thoughts as to what may have caused all this? it really sucks riding around with only some 6.5" rear fill speakers.. Thanks.

Not sure why this happened but I know that the Pioneers have inherent ground plane problems so I think that its ugly head reared its way up.

so no hope on this unit then? just chalk another one up to Pioneer design problem?
i can still switch the front speakers to the actual MOSFET amp in the HU but the sound is just not as good.
Thanks for the answer.

You can ground-out the -'s on your RCA cables. Solder a small wire to the outside contact on each RCA plug at the HU. Ground these all out and it should fix your problem.
