in dash dvd/sub/amps fuse blowing

i have a nice system in my new car.. everything came installed and has been in the car for at least a year.. theres a jl audio w7 sub, a jl audio 500/1 amp powering the sub with a .5 farad cap, (all professionally installed) then theres two mtx amps powering jl audio speakers in the back, in the doors, and also tweeters. Then I have a clarion in-dash dvd player model vrx925vd... my problem is everything works great but out of no where the "back up radio fuse" (7.5 amp) under my hood blows... so I replaced it with a 7.5 fuse.. everything was working again for at least 2 days but out of no where again it blows (i didnt even have my stereo up loud at all) so I replaced it with a 10 amp fuse, 2 days later it blows... next was a 15 amp fuse and that one just blew today.. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!! i dont understand why it would take 2-3 days for the fuse to pop! thankseric

I would suggest pulling the radio and look behind it for a possible short. Could be the battery wire has started rubbing against something...Mike M2

I would start off by not putting bigger amped fuses in there, its 7.5 for a reason.  To prevent from blowing up any components.  You have a short someewhere in the system, meaning a power wire is being grounded out.  I would start byt  pulling out the radio and checking all the wires sometimes they get chaffed and ground out.  It's happening every few days or so because the wires are getting jarred around and eventually touching ground.DTS Performance
