Hey guys im new to the forums. Anyways my friend she just got a 86 plymouth relaint, and she asked me to wire up a h/u for her, no biggie ive done about 10 in my time and all have worked flawlessy till now. I have no clue what the deck is, so i know thats a doodiety thing right there, but i got the wiring diagram off here. So ive got the power figured out and everything and that works all great. But i started wiring up the speakers and im doing everything according to this website. I even got the diagram off this website for the standard h/u wiring. But i wire the wires correctly and i dont get anything, not even a pop, nothing! Im so confused ive tried it with just the radio, and a cd. and it does nothin at all!

Im not even sure if the deck works properly. but my friend said it used to in her cousins car. Which i dont even know what it was. Can anybody give me some advice, i dont want this to be my first failed install!

Start by checking the fuses, no point in going any further unless you can confirm that all the fuses are good.  Im not too firmiliar with that model car but the fuses are usually in the drivers kick and under the hood.

Sounds amplified to me.  Does it say infinity anywhere on the speaker grilles or the factory radio you took out?  Better yet, did you use a harness or cut it off?
