The fuel gage on 01 Jimmy  is going haywire it goes fron empty to full and it constantly moves in segments up and down. Does any one know if there was a recall for that or what the problem could be?

Thanks

a few gm vehicles are affected with this problem and is due to Gm's "NEW" design of fuel level indication. There is a fix that Gm will perform provided this vehicle has not had it done yet. All they do is put in some kind of cleaner into the tank which takes off the crap built up on the sensor in the tank. Gm says that this problem is due to fuel makers additives building up on the sensor. This makes you wonder why after all these years of Gm using the old method that this problem never occured before and now it does!! My mom-in-law had this problem on her Sunfire and this is how they FIXED the problem, and she never had the problem again!
