About to install one of these in an '04 intrepid after having a smooth install of one in an '04 grand am.  Is there anything else I'm going to need with it?  I used a gmdl-bp on the grand am; is there anything like that for an intrepid?  I also used a GM 6-T wiring harness that plugged into the ignition wires so I didn't have to splice into them, making the install much easier; do they make that for an intrepid?

I found this info about it on an earlier closed topic, could someone explain what that means exactly?  Sorry, but I'm still pretty new to this stuff(Install #3): Almost any RS system out there can operate your Dodge alarm system and keyless entry. It's a single wire system. Arm is positive trigger thru a 1.87K ohm resistor. Disarm is positive trigger thru a 680 ohm resistor. MUST use relays.

Get yourself a bypass module for the transponder ign. AND that controls the door locks. There are several available.

I just found the Chr-4 harness, so I answered that question.  Any other advice?

Get the module for the transponder bypass AND also controls the doorlocks/trunk -- as stated by KarTuneMan.

Unlike your grandam -- your lock/unlock wires and certain starter wires have signals/data sent through them via a certain resistance (ohms) in the wire.  You can totally go out and buy some cheap resistors from Radioshack and wire this up yourself with some relays -- but it's a total PITA.

Get the Bypasskit XK03 ( www.bypasskits.com or www.autotoys.com) It runs abuot $70.00.   It'll do the ignition/doorlocks/trunk, etc.  You'll never have to open up your door or feed wires through to the cabin from the door.
