This weekend I installed a spal deluxe power window kit in my 2005 Nissan Titan XE. Everything is working good as far as the windows rolling up and down. The problem I can't seem to figure out is the Illumination for the switches.
I wired the illumination lead into a blu/red wire under the steering column that I used for my keyless entry to make the parking lights blink. I figured this way the lights would come on when I turn the parking lights on. Well when I got the switches all hooked up for the passenger side my dash lights (speedo,fuel,ac/heat) will not come on unless I unplug that illumination wire. With it plugged in though when I hit the roll down button for the passenger window on the drivers side all the lights come on.
I have the spal 3 switch 6 contact switch kit, I have them wired according to the diagram. Any Ideas on what to try? Oh also I tried other combinations on the passenger switch and each combination either results in the window not working or the lights coming on when either up or down is pressed.

you should try putting a diode because maybe when you press the button the current is going back into the lights .. try that first.. the wire of illumination put the diode on that wire to see..
Confidence is the key to any project!!
