what is the easiest way to wire in a battery backup to an alarm system?

i have a compustar 2wss

DEI has the 520T. It's a complete unit - 700 mA battery with charge/alarm signal at disconnect circuitry.

but is this compatible with my compustar alarm????

compustar didnt know since they dont manufacture the product.
