Has anyone successfully installed a remote start in a 2007 VUE Hybrid? I made an attempt on Saturday and could not locate the starter wire.
Where the Starter wire would normally be, there was a small gauge black and white wire, but this wire did not appear to have a power or ground signal when the vehicle was started with the key.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ryan

Like several other current GM cars, there is no starter wire at the keyswitch, and none is needed for remote start.
When the brown and orange accessory wires lose power, the starter will crank and the car will run.
Just make sure that both your orange and brown are powered as accessories......if powered as ignition, it of course won't crank.
Other than that, it's the same as the regular Vue.

Can the same thing be said about a 07 Saturn Ion 3? I noticed tonight that there isnt a starter wire; also saw that referenced in a couple of places online. The acc wire is a small 18 gauge brown wire in a 5 or 6 pin harness under the dash. Naturally the acc wire of the remote start (Code Alarm CA670) would connect there but what about the start wires? where do they go?

Fosgate3,
The Ion is the same from 2003-2007 (which is slated to be the last year), and the Search feature should find you the information you need.
