Heads up guys!

Just came across this.

It seems like when you bring the car in from the cold into a warmer environment, the cluster can go blank and/or light up airbag light. There is an obvious problem with the cluster. This might or might not be the cause of the above.

Interesting! It looks like this is from a 2001 VW Jetta with 200K+ miles. Those years were notorious for electrical problem but it's good to know that in the failure report they indicate the customer had a remote starter installed. I highly doubt that remote starter caused moisture to enter the intrument cluster.
