I have a 2005 Ford Mustang that I would like to change out the factory head unit and replace it with a AVIC-D3. The current system includes the Ford Shaker 500 components. I was wondering if there was anything that I needed special for this vehicle for replacing the head unit other than the 70-5520 harness and the 95-5026 kit from Metra, as I understand that this system contains a factory amplifier. Appreciate any help that you can offer.

I wouldn't use Pioneer/Premier if you plan on using the RCA outputs for an external amp...
