I own a 2005 Honda Accord LX, 4dr, and want to add an amp to the factory installed system. I'm not interested in replacing the factory HU as the cost of the bracket and face plate is a bit on the extreme side right now, so I would prefer to add an amp and just replace the factory speakers. What exactly do I need as far as equipment goes to do this and any recommendations out there as far as what brand(s) to buy? Is there a guide online somewhere that can give me step by step instructions?

Thank you in advance,

Razorbacx

KarTuneMan, I don't claim to be blind, however I didn't find anything relating to my particular question. Would you or anyone else please elaborate?

Regards,

If you want to go cheapie then just get a high quality amp with speaker level imputs. if you want better sound go for the jl audio cleansweep. this will get rid of the bad eq of the hu.
