Pioneer 12 disc cd changer

I have a pioneer 12 disc cd changer that can work either through an fm modulator or cd changer controls on your headunit. When i first bought it i had it installed using the fm modulator and now i have a headunit with cd changer controls and would like to run it off that instead of the fm modulator but the company i had install it didnt give me the cord i need to do that. I was woundering where i could purchase a cord to connect my cd changer to my headunit.chad

chances are you're going to have to go through pioneer.  You can go to www.pioneerelectronics.com or call 1-800-pioneer.  You will need to have the model # of your head unit and the changer.  Not sure on the exact cost but they're fairly inexpensive.

all you need is the 6 meter Pbus cable- they are about $50

You can probably check at a local shop and see if they have one just lying around. They will probably sell you it cheap. Be sure you have the model number with you.Certified Security Specialist

By the way, that cord doesn't come with the RF-modulated changer. So it's at least good to know that the original installer didn't take anything you need. Like IronCy says, find some stores that sell Pioneer, but go talk directly to the installers. Smart installers have toolboxes full of stuff like this for side money. You could give them them the model number and all that, but it'd be easier just to bring your changer and radio along, and see if the plug fits.
