I am trying to decide on a new set of component speakers for my Scion XB..  I am currently running the infinity kappa perfect 6.1, but my left side crossover is funky and I was never really that impressed with them.  My amp feeds 100w rms to the speakers.  So far my choices are the Diamond Audio Hex 6.5 components or the Polk Audio SR 6.5 components.  Anyone have opinions on them or experiences?  I am looking to spend roughly 400 dollar maximum.

As always, my advice is to go shopping, listen to as many speakers as you can with a CD you know, and buy the ones you like the best.  Nothing else matters.

Just my 2cents. I like the Pioneer TS-C720PRS set. Really great value and great sound (to my ears anyway). I agree with DYohn about auditioning everything in person.

I have had the Hex series 6.5 in my truck for a couple years now, sound great and still glad I got them.
