I have a 2005 Dodge Durango Limited with the factory Infinity Stereo. I'm planning on installing an aftermarket HU, comps up front, leave rear comps (for rear fill), and 2 amps (1 for mids/highs and 1 for subs). I'm wondering if I still have to buy the amp bypass in order to run my door speaks. I was thinking I could leave the factory turn on wire unplugged, use the turn on for the aftermarket HU for my amps, and run new wire from each speaker to the amp. I think this would take the factory amp out of the equation completely and not have to buy the bypass. Is this correct??

correct. If you are already bypassing the amp then you do not need to buy anything else.
