I have a US Acoustics USB4065 amp and am getting ready to install it in my car. I would like to know what gauge wire I should use for the power/ground. Here are the specs of the amp:

OUTPUT POWER

Per channel @ 4 Ohms
@ 12.9v input  65Wx4CH

Per channel @ 2 Ohms

@ 12.9v input  80Wx4CH

Bridged Mono @ 4 Ohms

@ 12.9v input 160Wx2CH

This is going into a single amplifier congfiguration.

Thanks,

Razorbacx

Unless you are planning on a very lengthy distance, over 20 ft, 8 gauge is the norm here. Just make sure to fuse it and that the ground is relatively short and 8 gauge as well.

dwarren, thanks! I thought 8 gauge would work, however I wanted to make sure before I ran it.
