the vehicle? 2001 chevy monte carlo

problem? removed factory radio, installed new head unit, amps subs and monitors,

when the brakes are applied the sound seams to distort<power loss> is audible

windows, defroster, any other electical device. i gained power to all these items directly from the battery via 4<awg> cable

the problem seems to be off and on but it is when there is exess current being drawn people say capacitor, i have the same set up with no cap no prob, different car though, i have an 1983 cadillac eldorado, you cant tell me that the electronic system of newer cars is inferior to that of old?

by the way 2 amps one for the subs one for the highs and three monitors

see it on   = http://tonygspotmusic.googlepages.com/elchito

go dodgers!

I believe the Monte Carlo is a GM class 2 databus system, so using the proper adapter (like the PAC CR2-GM24) is required for an after market head unit to function properly.
