I have a 2002 Lincoln Navigator.  The fuse in the fuse panel keeps blowing, which indicates a direct short.  This fuse operates the stereo.  Prior to it blowing the fuse, the face of the stereo was very hot.  removed stereo, nothing was burned.  While stereo was removed, replaced the blown fuse and it blows immediately while the radio is still out.

Usually other things run off t he same circuit, but everything else seems to be working fine on the car.  I do  not hav a wiring diagram, so does anyone have any suggestions of where to look or where I can get a wiring diagram online without buying one?

Thanks, Kent.

Most of what you will find here is from the actual radio power supply wires on. In order to find the wires and circuits that supply the radio power you probably will have to purchase a diagram.

Did you look for coins in Cigarette lighter and power outlets?

Good call on the coins...I worked at a cell phone store and had more people than I can count come in yelling that the car charger that we sold them didn't work. I would mention the coin thing after I showed her that the adaptor worked fine, and they would get paissed and storm out only to come back a minute later and plunk a nickel down on the counter.

Is it your ignition/accessory power to your deck or the battery/always on power to your deck that keeps blowing?
